In November 2024, 8 incredible dogs entered PADS Canine College—the next leg of their journey towards transforming lives.

🐾 Tay, Bagel, Timber, Finch, Hope, Nova, Piper, and Russell have spent their puppyhood growing and learning with their amazing puppy-raisers. Now, they’re back at PADS to begin mastering the skills needed for their future careers as life-changing assistance dogs.

Your support can help them every step of the way.
At this critical stage, these pups will work one-on-one with expert trainers to develop the specialized skills they need to succeed.

At just 8 weeks old, each pup begins their journey by putting on their iconic yellow PADS vest.
They spend 1.5 years living with dedicated volunteer puppy-raisers, training 24/7 to build a solid foundation.
Every moment of their 2-year training is crucial to preparing them for their life-changing role.

"Storm II came into my life at the perfect time. I feel like he pulled me out of a dark hole. After my service, I was left in a pretty bad place. He has brought such joy to me, it’s hard to describe. He has become a most cherished friend. We have been working together for a few months now. I cannot imagine not having him by my side. I have been able to go on hikes/walks and feel comfortable in the outside world. I have been able to travel and socialize with friends and family in a new way. I haven’t done this in several years. I have met other clients in the PADS community and they have become wonderful companions along this journey. I wake up each day and am amazed to see Storm - his soft nose, loving eyes and warm heart greet me each day!
